IOLANI PALACE

THE KINGDOM OF HAWAII NATION
PROTESTING UNITED STATES
 OCCUPATION OF HAWAII
AT IOLANI PALACE

August 15, 2008.  The Kingdom of Hawaii Nation locked down Iolani Palace and is protesting the occupation of the Hawaii islands by The United States of America and enforced by the US Military.  The police have arrested these Native Hawaiian protestors and have taken back control of the Palace.

However, this continuing series of protests bring to mind the intent of America in holding Hawaii as an "American" state, while excluding it from the Mainland states in culture, application of laws, news, and in other ways. (The term, Mainland, is applied to the 50 contiguous American states on the continent of North America).

WHY BARACK OBAMA HAD TO LEAVE HAWAII
TO BECOME SUCCESSFUL

August 16, 2008.  The continuing struggle of the Hawaii Nation to reestablish their government brings many issues to the forefront.  We all know that Barack Obama was not successful while living in Hawaii.  But rather, it was when he left Hawaii after experiencing the severe hardships of life, that Hawaii actually prepared him for his journey to success.

I have a background in politics and have studied the legal system in numerous American states, and after living here in Hawaii, it is quite clear that Hawaii is not functioning as an American state in the actual practice of federal laws, state laws, nor culture.

This questions the intent of America in holding Hawaii as a state, while excluding it from the Mainland states in culture, application of laws, and other ways. The only true Aloha in Hawaii is practiced by the Native Hawaiians, and after experiencing the harsh and abusive lifestyle inflicted by those in control (who are "not" Native Hawaiians), the question is:  Would Hawaii be a better place if the Native Hawaiians ruled?

Being only partially Americanized is not American at all. Those who allege that Hawaii is "diverse" fail to explain that this diversity is segregated into both cultural classes and economic classes, and that Hawaii is, in fact,  a state of  competing multi-nations rather than integrating the citizens as American.  Japan is the most prominent nation established in Hawaii, and if you don't speak Japanese, then your chances of getting a high-paying job are slim to nothing.  In fact, as one Japanese tourist told me:  "Japan is the nation; Hawaii is the capital."  From a whole perspective of all things considered, Hawaii is much more Japanese than it is American, and it could be argued that Hawaii is controlled by Japan -- not America -- in culture.

Whoever controls the culture, controls the nation.

The military in Hawaii is American, but the soldiers and their families live a separate and exclusive lifestyle from the poverty stricken majority of citizens in Hawaii, and they enjoy different military privileges in housing, separate military shopping facilities, costs of goods, and so forth.

However, we learn from the many nations that descend upon the Washington, D.C. area, that the military sent out from different nations around the world is not always in uniform (but rather, takes the form of citizens who blend in with the residents and live there and attend schools).

They are sent out from different nations with the purpose of promoting their homeland government and culture.

Such plain clothed militaries are actually paid by the government of their nations to lead protests and promote the sponsoring nation.  At the time I lived in the Washington, D.C. area, these multi-national militaries composed primarily of students, were practicing openly and fit into the freedom of expression established by America.

There is no difference in the cause of native Hawaiians, and the cause of Tibet and other nations in wanting to reestablish their nation which has been destroyed or otherwise deteriorated by the occupation of non-natives.

We can understand why the Native Hawaiians are trying to reestablish their government, because everyone else has established their own separate but distinct nation in Hawaii, why not Native Hawaiians also? Although the Native Hawaiians are resisting the comments from reporters on the Mainland that Hawaii does not function as an American state, but, in fact, such reality is actually beneficial to the cause of the Native Hawaiians.  If they can reestablish true Aloha in Hawaii, then support of the cause of the Native Hawaiians could be increased.  It is devastating to see such a beautiful environment as Hawaii slowly deteriorating more and more each day.

Therefore, the real question is whether Hawaii as a whole (natural habitat, living conditions, morality, ethical government, etc.) would be a better place if Native Hawaiians governed, because currently, it is extremely harsh living for most citizens in Hawaii the majority of whom are either homeless or live in poverty.  Citizens who are highly educated with degrees are living in poverty and supported by the taxpayers.  Lawyers are working out of cramped offices and some lawyers work in shoddy warehouses with water seeping into their offices, and many cannot even afford a secretary.  Further, quality physicians are leaving Hawaii by the droves, and doctors are the first to ask you: Why live in Hawaii in poverty, when you could be living wealthy on the mainland for same amount of effort?

NO MIDDLE CLASS IN HAWAII

There is no Middle Class in Hawaii -- only the Poor Class, and, who are compelled to serve the Wealthy Class, and, must work two jobs at minimum wage just to survive with basic needs (food, clothing, and shelter).  If you don't arrive in Hawaii wealthy, then your chances are strong that you will live in poverty or become homeless for the first time in your life.  (The homeless shelters require you to give up all your possessions and keep only what you can fit in one tiny milk crate).  A nurse who made a large salary at a nursing home told me:  "The poor should be denied the same opportunities as the wealthy because this drives the poor out of Hawaii and keeps the population down."

OUT OF THE ASHES OF POVERTY
ARISE THE MOST SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE IN SOCIETY

This also explains why Barack Obama had to leave Hawaii to become successful. He is a strong leader, and, even though Obama would have never achieved success if he had remained in Hawaii after growing up, it was, in fact, the hardships that he faced as a child and young man that gave him the strong motivation and determination to rise up above others after he moved out of Hawaii.

Out of the ashes of poverty arise the most successful people in society.  The Wealthy Class in Hawaii would have wisdom to realize that excluding the poor from the basic necessities of life, is affecting their own future by denying the potential of the human mind to function outside of economic prejudice.
