OBAMA CELEBRATED IN WAIKIKI
WITH
SPECTACULAR FIREWORKS

June 4, 2008, 9:00 p.m.  Obama was celebrated in Waikiki with an unannounced display of spectacular fireworks which are usually reserved for Independence Day. Many people did not know what it was at first since nothing had been said on the television news, and the fireworks were so loud and massive that some thought we were being attacked (Pearl Harbor is nearby).  But the brilliance in the sky soon displayed its cause:

The red, white and blue rockets red glare, the fireworks bursting in midair, gave proof through the night of  the Hawaiian candidate for President of the United States, Barack Obama.

At the end of the fireworks, it sounded as if the entire island cheered as voices could be heard everywhere, and some have even put up their Christmas/New Year lights out on the condo balconies in celebration.

Reports are that Obama plans to be visiting Hawaii (Oahu island) very soon.
