THE BIRDS

August 22, 2008.  The Birds in Waikiki await movie cameras for a thrilling remake of Alfred Hitchcock's famous movie "The Birds."  Any movie producer interested?  We hope!! The birds are gathering with anticipation.

This house is one block from the beach and it is the dove's favorite hangout before leaving the beach at sunset. The owner gives them fresh seeds, water, and love. They fly further inland every night in groups at different intervals.  Therefore, you will see a flock flying inland, and five minutes later, another flock flies overhead, and so forth. One of their favorite inland hangouts is around the Ala Wai Canal.  They love to sit on the ledge and watch the stream, and, yes, they love to kiss each other while enjoying the beautiful water.  They are very romantic.  (A special article will be written on this topic)  When it gets dark, they move to the rooftops of the buildings along the Ala Wai.   Another great place to nest at night is the Honolulu Zoo.  They fit in with the ducks who always share their food.

This is the roof of the same house as above,
but it shows a hotel in the background.
