LEGAL SYSTEM IN HAWAII
CORRUPT

*    *    *    *

December 11, 2008.  After living in Hawaii for several years, I have accumulated enough eyewitness facts to conclude without a doubt that the legal system in Hawaii including the U.S. District Court is extremely corrupt. Further, this corruption is open and supported in a network of cooperative and coordinated efforts that are strongly connected to the defense of crime, corruption, and the voting process which elects unpopular dominating and aggressive leaders who maintain the status quo.

However, analysis reveals that a state run by defense attorneys does not mean that citizens can get away with more, although such is inevitable, what it does mean is that law is played as a game wherein all players who follow the leaders on one side win, but the opposition -- innocent or guilty -- loses.

FACTS

1.  U.S. Federal District Court Judges change the facts of the cases, and interact with the litigants. The Judges function as defense attorneys, withholding evidence, wrongly issuing sanctions against their opponents, and writing orders with wrong facts that support their chosen litigant. I have worked at law firms in several states and have interacted with judges and lawyers, but have never seen judges who function as lawyers. This is shocking and represents the lack of intelligence in our communities. People lie when they do not have the knowledge to solve problems logically. The question is, whether such unethical behavior is being taught at law schools here in Hawaii. I would not want to practice law in Hawaii because I do not want to be a part of such corrupt legal practice.

2.  The police department allows drugs (such as marijuana) to be sold openly during the daytime at bus stops in Waikiki for which I had never seen until I came to Hawaii.

3.  The police department has twice refused to take eyewitness information at crime scenes, one involving the alleged vandalism of a Fire Engine truck. However, the young man was innocent. The police officer stated he only wanted witness statements  to support conviction, not defense. In a separate incident involving the death of a man, the police officer in charge of several officers investigating the death scene said he did not want anyone talking with the officers, even though I stated that I had seen a man lying face down only a few feet away earlier, and thought he was drunk (and did not want him to be arrested), but when I went back later to check on him, he was gone and that is when I saw the police investigating the death of a man in the proximate vicinity. However, the police did not want any statements from a witness.

4.  The State of Hawaii allows prostitution to be openly solicited in Waikiki where they line up and solicit tourists and the military near Waikiki Beach every night. Further, prostitution is openly practiced at Korean Bars where illegal drugs are also being sold and arranged marriages for illegal Korean immigrant girls are being made. Korean Bars are frequented by many men and is openly accepted as any restaurant despite the illegal activities and the immigrant prostitution and arranged marriages. This open crime is so heinous and abusively destroying many marriages that a separate article will cover details.

5.  Age discrimination by law firms is open with vicious abuse of the elderly who seek to work there, and following suit are other businesses, including temporary agencies and health insurance agencies who openly discriminate against aging workers. This is the first time in my life, I have ever been sent home from work because I was allegedly "over-qualified" because of my age. (a separate article will address specific details).

6. Racism against Caucasians and also against African-Americans is openly practiced and extremely prejudiced and is practiced even by attorneys, judges, and businesses.

7. Caucasians are openly called "howlies" (connoted as a wolf or dog) which is used as a vicious curse word and defended by users as if it were merely a Hawaiian word, haole, but is not pronounced as in the Hawaiian language, and is not used for the Hawaiian meaning which is "anyone who is non-native Hawaiian."  Instead, this racist word, "howlie" (or haole) is exclusively used against Caucasians and most of the time is used as a curse word with racist hatred against Caucasians. This racist "howlie" ("haole") word was used most recently to abusively curse Governor Lingle, who is Caucasian, while calling for her to be impeached and sent back to the Mainland; and these racist comments were published in the Honolulu Star Bulletin. While Governor Lingle is disliked by many, using racist cursing, such as "howlie" takes away the effectiveness of the argument, and focuses on the prejudiced beliefs of the name-caller instead of the intended issue.

8. Racism of groups against each other and segregation by race is practiced openly, such as many businesses only hire members of their own race and exclude others and a certain race controls the management and excludes others from advancement. Further, social organizations, even churches often exclude those of different races. Religious intolerance is widespread which is related to racism since its core cause is prejudice beliefs.

HAWAII
IS A SLAVE STATE

9. Slavery of employees is practiced openly wherein an employee is treated abusively in many different ways. Employees must commit to be available 24 hours/day and 7 days/week if needed by a business, even if hired part-time. Employers abusively scream at and demean employees in front of others, and excessively control personal actions (such as denying water, denying contact with family), requiring long work hours without overtime pay, extremely low wages even though Hawaii is the most expensive state in America (food, products, housing), abusive controlling management (punishing or firing anyone who expresses business ideas or who functions outside of complete submissiveness), management lying and wrongly accusing scapegoat employees to keep them from advancement and to wrongly justify low salaries.

10. Most everyone living in Hawaii must work two or more jobs to pay for a run-down rat-infested studio apartment which most have to share with several others or which is packed with many family members. Many young adults never leave the nest and even when married, they continue to live with the parents. Although jobs require 24/7 commitment, virtually everyone must work at least two jobs. The food prices at grocery stores are inflated to such an extreme that health food stores with organically grown foods are actually cheaper than regular grocery stores. Food Pantry, for instance, charges $6 for 8 oz. piece of cheese, Kraft American Singles $7.60 (16 slices), milk $7.29/gal., hot dogs $5/lb, bread $5.69 loaf, mayonnaise $9.00, Rice Crispies cereal $6.59 for 12 ox. box, Ranch dressing $6.99 for 16 oz. Tourists complain about the prices, and say they are shocked that locals have to pay this expensive amount without any discount at Food Pantry. Fortunately, some places, like Safeway offer locals liberal discounts with a membership card, and Walmart offers good discounts but is very limited in groceries. However, the prices of most food and products at virtually all stores are unjustifiably expensive. Businesses who blindly relocate here because they think everyone is rich, quickly go out-of-business, because they soon realize the massive poverty cannot support any business.  In fact, it is tourism that supports Hawaii's high prices, not the residents.

11.  Tourists complain about the run-down condition of units they rent. I have heard them threaten legal action, but I advised them that all the places in Hawaii are run-down, not just their rental, and our legal system is corrupt and will do nothing to help them, and will just take their legal fees for profits of the wealthy.

12. Products from the "black market" are widespread (such as Rolex brand watches illegally made in Kuwait and brought here in large quantities by soldiers), and illegally labeled as popular name-brand companies, but which are actually from different companies. Many allegedly brand named products break easily and are cheaply manufactured compared to those same products sold on the Mainland. Clothing is poor quality, with even outdated zippers on expensive clothing which pop open and have long been extinct on the Mainland (term referring to the contiguous American states).

13. Nepotism is widespread in virtually all businesses wherein relatives rule and no one has a chance to move up the ladder if they are not related to the management.

14. The election process is corrupt. The last election showed the total vote count as less than in 2004. That is contrary to the vigorous local campaigns and long lines at voting polls which defy the allegedly low vote count. Votes are clearly missing, but because the courts are also corrupt, it would be futile to challenge them without significant and extensive public support. Further, such supporters risk losing their jobs and other retribution. Also, those elected are not popular and many residents question -- who elected them?

15. Laws are applied with prejudice selection by race, such as tickets given to some bicyclists on sidewalks while I have seen many bicyclists ride past policeman without getting ticketed. Those who jay-walk are given tickets with prejudice selection by race downtown, and some girls ticketed in Waikiki when there was no traffic, while I have seen and photographed at least 50-100 jaywalkers continuously every 10 minutes in front of the Waikiki Police station without these jay walkers getting any ticket. Skateboarding is illegal along the Ala Wai Canal, but I have seen skateboarders ride past policeman standing there without any action taken. Recently, a dog was scared by a skateboarder and jumped into the Ala Wai Canal (which is extremely polluted) and had to be rescued by the Fire Department. The Ala Wai Canal has no protective railings which makes it dangerous for anyone who may fall into this polluted water with stingrays, poisonous jellyfish, toxic waste and flesh-eating bacteria.

16.  Fishing at the Ala Wai Canal is not regulated, even though commercial fishermen/ladies catch fish there regularly in massive quantities and presumably sell them to local restaurants and grocery stores (as those catching the fish tell me that they are not eating them). They also catch lobster and other shell fish there. Posted signs, however, warn that the fish are contaminated and harmful to your health. Those who are unknowingly eating these contaminated fish, including tourists, are not protected.

17. Physicians are leaving Hawaii in droves because of the massive poverty, very expensive leases, and lack of quality insurance to cover medical bills. A physician advised me that he cannot even pay his light bill because nobody can pay for his medical services. There are not enough rich people here to support all but a few physicians, and the locals are mostly on welfare and Medicaid, which does not pay much to doctors.

[This article will be updated and continued, including massive homeless, job discrimination against those moving from the Mainland, illegal labor practices, widespread domestic abuse, illegal marriages, mistresses, and in-depth discussion of the Korean Bars.]
