DOVE STRETCHING WINGS
AFTER A BATH

2008.  This little creek was built for the hairless apes (humans), but we forget that we are a part of all life -- not above it, not beneath it, but in the circle of life.  This dove believes the creek was created for the benefit of doves because they bathe in it, but we only look at it.  Perhaps, nonconsciously, we did create it for their benefit. After all, our manifest destiny is to be the caretakers of all living things and protectors of the environment. We do have a purpose and we move unknowingly before knowing.

MASSIVE AMOUNT OF
JAY WALKERS CHALLENGE POLICE

2008.  In Waikiki across from the Police Station, at least 20 people or more jay walk (crossing the street when the red hand symbol shows "Don't Walk") with each light change, but the law says $130 fine if the police "choose" to give you a ticket.  Is this law fair when based on loose discretion with so many violators and inequitable accountability making it impossible to enforce?  Who are you going to arrest?  Everybody?  All the tourists?  The children? The elderly?  Those who look funny or who you don't like? The retarded?  The blind?  Who is really responsible for pedestrian accidents?  Hawaii says the pedestrian is responsible equally to the car drivers who hit them.  Most states decided quite the contrary a long time ago.

BROWN DOVE JAY WALKING
IN SEARCH OF FOOD
$500 FINE IF YOU CARE

2008.  It is $130 ticket for jay waling.
Give that bird a ticket?
No.
But, if you feed this bird, then you must pay a $500 fine.
For feeding a bird?

Tourists feed birds all the time and are shocked to find out that such abusive laws exist in "paradise."  St. Francis where are you?

The reasoning is that if you feed them, then they will over-populate.  Nobody feeds rats, but they over-populate.  The joy of feeding birds is a right that needs to be asserted because it is healing to the heart and soul.  Feeding birds removes stress and brings great peace of mind.  It is a religious right to feed animals, including humans.

June 6, 2008.  The average price of gas in Hawaii was $4.14/gallon on June 4, 2008.  However, just two days later, Lanai reported $5.11/gallon amidst the tears of those who guard the gates of the past, while the longtime prayers of some are finally being answered with an opportunity for a major lifestyle change.  MORE

HAVE WE EVOLVED YET?
OUR BEHAVIOR SHOWS WE ARE MORE LIKE APES
THAN HUMANS

2008.  These chimps (apes) are our closest relatives (98.6 percent exact same genes) and are very, very violent by natural temperament -- but so are we as evidenced by the news.  Is our human concept of ourselves ideal or real? A desire to evolve into humans?  Or are we just another species of apes:  the HAIRLESS APES?  MORE
