February 9, 2009. Recently, I have discovered that the major newspapers are "not" being truthful, but rather, use propaganda to influence the public. However, we need to be realistic about everything in order to make logical decisions.

There is no doubt that we are in a greater Depression now than what occurred in the 1930's. The reason this economic crisis is greater is because it is worldwide. Every nation is being affected, and many people who were on the verge of hunger are now starving, and since we are struggling ourselves, we are not able to help them as much as before. We are in a Worldwide Depression where every nation is affected. more

PRESIDENT OBAMA:
THIS IS AN
UNPRECEDENTED CRISIS
SINCE THE GREAT DEPRESSION
February 9, 2009. President Obama gave a speech today, primarily addressing the economy, and stated: "This is an unprecedented crisis" since the Great Depression, and stated that his administration was trying to avoid the event in Japan in the 1990's where the economic crisis lasted for 10 years.
The sentiment quite clearly is that there is no "quick fix" to the economy, but that the government is desperately doing everything it can. Even though some economists are now saying that nothing will help and the economy must just take its own course, President Obama wants to do everything he can to stabilize the economy and that means to provide funds across the board. It cannot be targeted to just the banks, but must go to a wide area. He defended the "pork" complaint about his Stimulus Plan and addressed the need to see the whole picture. Quite clearly, however, the message conveyed is that we need to be realistic about the seriousness of our economy and that the whole world is looking to us as leaders. If we can come out of this, then other nations will also.

MONDAY AT 3:00 P.M. HAWAII TIME
February 8. 2009. President Obama will give an important national speech on Monday, February 9, at 3:00 p.m. Hawaii time. No doubt he will address the major issue of the sinking economy. Other important issues will be addressed at that time also.
It is expected that President Obama will also speak on the new Bill he recently signed for the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) which moves closer to universal healthcare eventually hoped to be provided to everyone.
Since most Hawaiians will be at work and unable to hear the broadcast, it is hoped that our television stations will re-broadcast it in the evening, but none have yet stated they would. If not, then be sure to listen to the evening news on television to hear the key points and read several articles in different reliable sources online. Your participation in the government is an important fundamental right.

IN SERIOUS CONDITION
February 27, 2009. Ed McMahon, the former co-host and announcer of the long-running sitcom "Johnny Carson Show" has been hospitalized and is in serious condition. Suffering with bone cancer, he came down with pneumonia, but has been unable to pull out of it during several weeks of hospitalization. He is now in intensive care in Los Angeles. In 2007, he fell and broke his neck, and was unable to work. In December, his family home went into foreclosure, but a deal with the mortgage company allowed he and his family to remain in the home. Our prayers are with him, and with the doctors to give him all possible remedy.

CANADIAN AIR SPACE
February 27, 2009. Canadian war planes strongly signaled and turned back approaching Russian long-range bombers on the day before President Obama visited Ottawa, Canada. There was no statement made by Russian officials as to why these planes had wrongly entered Canadian airspace over the Arctic, but Canadian officials alert that such incidences have been increasing in occurrence.
Canada, the U.S., Denmark, and Norway all stake claims over the Artic Ocean because of its strategic location and natural resources. Russia claims a large portion for which it has even planted a flag at the bottom of the Artic Ocean.
Japan claims that similar Russian bombers have flown into its airspace and were turned away as recent as this past year.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act was signed into law by President Obama which will create or save 3.5 million jobs. Also, 95 percent of the working households will receive tax cuts by April 1 that will show up in their paychecks. Those who are receiving Unemployment benefits will have extended coverage. And, such other promising and hopeful efforts in this Bill are outlined in the speech as we ride the waves, and know that we are in this together and will help each other come through these times.

NUCLEAR POWER PLANT
February 24, 2009. Iran tested its first nuclear power plant amidst continuing fear from Israel whose newly elected leaders vow to put an end to it. Israel has so far been denied support by the U.S. to attack Iran. However, according to Israel's newspaper, Haaretz, the U.S. has pledged to drop a nuclear bomb on Iran if Iran should first attack Israel. However, Israel would never know it in that course of events, and, of course, Russia would then retaliate for Iran by projecting a nuclear bomb into the U.S. If they missed and hit Canada, then Russia would receive their bomb from, perhaps, multiple sources. more

February 19, 2009. Investigation into the attack of a pet chimp on a lady who had come to the rescue of her friend, revealed that the chimp had been given the prescription drug, Xanax, which may have caused it to go into a violent rage. The owner describes her formerly peaceful pet chimp as out of its mind when it went on the rampage. This is further evidence of how dangerous it is to interfere with the delicate mental functions with drugs such as Xanax and other psychotropic drugs. Psychologists need to give up this wrongful drug therapy on patients and return to logical talk therapy and psychoanalysis as the Father of Psychology, William James, had established. There is no drug substitute for all the effort it takes to achieve Wisdom in a logical mind. more

US SATELLITE
COLLIDES
WITH RUSSIAN SATELLITE
February 11, 2009. NASA reported that two satellites collided in space today over Siberia. A U.S. satellite owned by Iridium and a non-functioning Russian satellite crashed head-on at 485 mph (780 km), adding to the tens of thousands of space debris currently being tracked by NASA. There is no expected affects on the International Space Station (ISS) and the three astronauts because its orbit around the Earth is 435 km below the collision orbit.
Any debris that should fall to Earth would be burned up by the atmosphere. However, there is some concern by NASA that the large debris now in orbit may impact other satellites, and is being monitored along with the other tens of thousands of pieces of debris accumulating in space.

CAR OVERTURNS ON
ALA WAI BLVD.
February 12, 2009. A car overturned on the Ala Wai Blvd near Laiulani at about 10:30 p.m. tonight. There were no injuries seen, but the fire department was concerned about gasoline leaks. There was little visible signs of any. It appears that the WisdomPeace Lightforce was with driver and car tonight, but how did it overturn? There was no other car seen, and the driver may have over-compensated a turn or swerved to avoid hitting someone crossing the street.

STIMULUS PLAN
February 11, 2009. The Senate finally passed the Stimulus Plan proposed by President Obama's administration. While some critics are arguing that the U.S. should not be interfering with the market, nations worldwide are taking similar action as we are all in this downward spiral together.
Great Britain reports in the BBC that their economy was hit extremely hard. The governor of the Bank of England warns that "unconventional measures" are needed as the country continues to fall into a "deep recession." more

ALL ITS FURY"
BURNING VICTORIA
IN AUSTRALIA
February 8, 2009. Arsonists started several fires in Victoria, Australia which grew into "hell in all its fury" as described by Prime Minister Kevin Rudd. Over 93 victims are known dead and many of the injured are suffering with severe burns. Few were able to escape because of the massive 4-stories high wall of fire with trees exploding and powerful choking smoke blinding them and stealing oxygen until they passed out and succumbed to the hell fire.
Several of the victims died in their cars after the flames surrounded them. Others crashed into other cars which stranded them in a death trap in the midst of the flames fueled by the high temperature and winds.
ALL OF VICTORIA IS BURNING
Over 30,000 hectacres (115 sq. miles) have burned and firefighters see no end. The police report that arsonists actually "restarted" several fires after areas were put out, and that they will be charged with "murder" when found. The firefighters said that there is no way that these fires could have been caused by natural causes.
Like a volcano, the skies are raining ash from the huge flames.
Several other bush fires were flamed by the arsonists in New South Wales and South Australia, but they have been contained. The worst of it is in Victoria which is the most horrendous in all history. Firefighters, exhausted and frustrated, said that the only thing that will put this uncontrollable fire out is rain.
TEMPERATURE
February 25, 2009. The temperature
feels very cold because our bodies in Hawaii have developed a
homeostasis comfort zone for the 80's. Anything above the 80's
(into the 90's) feels hot, while anything below the 80's (into the
70's) feels cold. The equivalent "feel" is around 40's.
This all proves that temperature feeling is a mental, not
physical, function. A lady going through menopause will go from
feeling super-hot flashes to super-cold and learns the lesson that
temperature feel is not temperature real. Br-r-r - it's cold
- all the way down to the low 70's.
RARE TORNADO
HITS HAWAII
February 11, 2009. There was a rare tornado that hit Hawaii in the area near the Honolulu Airport and Pearl Harbor which injured one person and destroyed property. We never hear of such violent weather, and it makes us question if this is a changing pattern with more to come.
What we need to realize is that Hawaii's weather is even more dynamic than most places. It can rain five minutes and then be sunny and then rain again. It often rains lightly when there is no cloud in sight. One time it rained in just one spot, while across the street remained dry and the sidewalks in front and behind remained dry. More dynamic are the rare earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, tsunamis, drenching rain, and falling boulders from the mountainous terrain. Hawaii displays the whole spectrum of the E-Force nature, but so far it has been subtle.
The constantly changing weather which brings us unpredictable challenges is even more of a valid reason to contribute to life with as much quality as possible because there is so much that we cannot control, and yet so much that we can.

LONG-RANGE MISSILE TEST
February 26, 2009. U.S. Navy officials based at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, warned in a public statement that if North Korea launches a long-range missile, it will intercept it upon orders from President Obama.
U.S. Intelligence indicates that North Korea is moving equipment consistent with the launch of a missile. North Korea, however, claimed earlier this week that it plans to launch a satellite into space. On the contrary, some nations assert that such claim is a cover-up for its test of a long range missile.
Admiral Keating of the U.S. Navy in the Pacific stated in an interview with ABC News that the U.S. military has readied their highly sophisticated interactive defense system consisting of the destroyer warships, Aegis cruiser, radar, space-based infrared system, and the seek and destroy ground-based interceptor, all of which work in unison against any detected ballistic missile.

February 19, 2009. Investigation shows that the USS Port Royal leaked fuel and damaged the living reef in that area. Early reports were that they were stuck in a reef, but then reports changed to a statement that they were stuck in only sand and rock and an outright denial that they were n any living reef. I refused to changed my article because it sounded more like propaganda than facts.
Locals, including surfers and swimmers well know about the living reefs that they extend far out into the Pacific Ocean. The Navy should have consulted with locals when these ships first arrived here. We all knew they were lying to us and were being insulting and disrespectful by false reporting through the local news stations and through the Navy. We are smarter than you think. You only make yourself look worse because the truth has ways of seeping through the cracks and the hidden truth eventually becomes visible.
Further, investigators discovered that tons of sewage were released into the Pacific ocean to lighten the load of the stuck ship, and not a single tourist was advised of the risk for "flesh eating bacteria" that reproduce in sewage as the tourists unknowingly swam in the contaminated ocean. They should have kept everyone out of the water until guaranteed by laboratory tests that the water was safe. Those who have achieved empathy have achieved an important virtue, but those who haven't are a real challenge.

February 9, 2009. The USS Port Royal was set free early this morning at 2:40 a.m. Divers have determined that there is no threat to the environment even though there was a small amount of fuel leakage. The warship is headed back to dock at Pearl Harbor.
A thorough investigation of the environment and the cause is underway while the captain of the ship has been relieved of his duties.

February 6, 2009. The USS Port Royal, a huge naval warship based in Pearl Harbor, has run aground and is trapped in the living reefs near Honolulu International Airport. All attempts to free this 9,000 ton vessel have failed. more

February 22, 2009. After speaking with an expert at the Honolulu Zoo who works with the apes, who are extremely aggressive, it was his opinion that the problem with pit bulls in Hawaii is mainly because of the "owners." He advised that before anyone decides to obtain a pit bull as a pet, the owner should be required (as a criteria for a dog license) to take lessons on protecting the public, understanding this breed, and properly raising and caring for them.

NUCLEAR SUBMARINES
COLLIDE IN
ATLANTIC OCEAN
February 16, 2009. Two nuclear submarines suffered damages after colliding in the Atlantic Ocean. The British sub, HMS Vanguard and the French sub Le Triomphant were fully loaded with nuclear reactors and numerous nuclear warheads along with 240 sailors as they crashed at very low speed while submerged, apparently because the anti-sonar kept each sub hidden from the other.
However, such collision, if it had occurred at normal speed, could have resulted in a "nuclear explosion" or an otherwise extremely dangerous consequence with nuclear warheads dropping to the non-retrievable ocean floor to sit like time-bombs.
This reminds Hawaii about the recent nuclear ship which was grounded in the coral reefs and could not get unstuck for days.
The anti-sonar devices fail when they are the cause of a collision and set the stage for a potential "non-war" disaster.
The Navy asserts that solutions are being implemented to prevent reoccurrence, but we know that it has happened with subs from other nations before including the U.S., and, as of yet, the problem has not been resolved.
The best resolution will come when nations learn to communicate with wisdom instead of weapons.

February 27, 2009. An Israeli apartheid poster prepared by students for an annual human rights meeting which began in 2005 was banned by the college administration. The students argued that it "denied freedom of speech." The poster was banned from Ottawa University and Carleton University even though it was much less violent than the actual photos during the Gaza battle published in newspapers throughout the world. more

A fraudulent software developer who recently hijacked a church website listed their software product at softplatz.com which showed their homesite internet address as the hijacked church website (which you would never realize if you did not verify the hyperlinked homesite before downloading the malicious software). Also, the search engines showed this product originating from "Web Site China, Beijing, Anhuidongli #2 Shenghejiayuan #1 7A1 <novazm at yahoo dot com>. But, they showed their homesite hyperlink with the same domain name and internet address as the church website, but it was not.

February 12, 2009. Lucerne County Judge Mark Ciavarella and Judge Michael Conahan in a courthouse in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania received $2.6 million in payoffs from a privately run jail which was "demanded" to pay in order to receive juveniles at its facilities, PA Childcare LLC and Western PA Child Care LLC. Young teens were wrongly brought before the court with minor offenses and were denied representation by lawyers and only a 1-2 minute hearing before being locked up in prison.
In a class action lawsuit filed by hundreds of juveniles who suffered along with "thousands" of others throughout the years, won their case and the judges were removed from the bench. MORE
